Carter's Got Talent

So picture this: Matt takes Carter into the Nursery to change a VERY stinky diaper. As soon as Matt gets the diaper off Carter seizes the opportunity to "get Daddy". Carter proceeds to shoot poo!! What!!! Matt came running into our room covered in Carter poo and says, "do you want the baby or the mess". I could tell that I probably should take the mess because Matt appeared to be on the verge of a major melt down. I entered the Nursery and can only describe the scene as something you would see on CSI. There was poo everywhere. It was all over the changing pad and table, carpet and had even made it to cover the back of the nursery door!! So after cleaning and scrubbing for a while the mess was cleaned up. We just were completely shocked that something that only weighs 6 pounds could be so destructive...

The Stork did land at our house...

While Heather, Carter, and Barrett were sleeping a few days ago a Stork landed in our yard! This is a tradition in our area announcing to everyone that we have had a baby...But this was a super Stork since he actually delivered babies!!!!

This is a VIDEO: PRESS PLAY

This is Barrett after his first sponge bath at home. To our surprise he did not like getting sponged off. He was very vocal about letting Mom and Dad know about his displeasure.

God Bless the Bouncer Seats

So this is where the boys love to sleep! They don't really like sleeping any where else, so these bouncers go all over the house with us...

5 Days OLD!

Well I guess if we've gotten this far that means we aren't horrible parents, right? Anyway, Heather continues to get better following her surgery and the boys are starting to get into somewhat of a routine, although its a pretty loose one right now.
We did have our first Pediatrician's appointment today. Usually its a 2 week appointment, but because they were a day premature and so small they wanted to see them early. The appointment couldn't have been better. Their doctor was so pleased with their weight because Barrett actually gained 3 ounces and Carter gained 2 ounces. The Doc seemed pretty surprised by this. He also said their jaundice was looking pretty good and well within acceptable range and didn't need to stick them for further testing. All in all it was a very good visit.
Enjoy some more pictures and excuse us if we don't update them everyday. It seems we don't have much time on our hands these days.

Day 2

This is just more pics of the boys for all of those who can't come by and see them. They are eating well and sleeping very well and are ready to come home when mommy is released. I'm sure they will be excited to see their new digs.

Here's Mom

Heather is recovering well. For those that don't know, she had Carter normally and then Barrett had so much room that he flipped and became breach. The Dr. wrestled with him for well over an hour to get him to turn but it was of no success. Heather had to have an emergency C-section for Barrett, but it went very quickly and very well. All are doing great now.

Here is Mr. Barrett. He was the first to have a poopie diaper, but since Carter has had 3. There seems to be a competition already brewing. Barrett likes to be held really closely and may be Heather's snuggle baby that she's been wanting.

The Boys

Carter can be seen here. He has been behaving very well and seems to like being held by anyone so far.

Welcome to the family!!

We would like you all to welcome Carter Harrison and Barrett Matthew Horn. The were born today July 16th. Carter came first at 2:01 pm weighing 5lbs 14 oz and measuring 20 inches long. Barrett followed at 3:40 pm weighing 5lbs 5oz and measuring 19 inches long. Both babies are doing very well. Heather is recovering and also doing well for such a long day.

Carter is the one below & Barrett is the one above.

THE LIMO

Here is our Limo... If you see a couple sporting this sweet ride around town it's us! Believe it or not it is larger in real life. If you would like to take it for a spin come over for a visit. The boys are sure to love their new ride!

What is wrong with this picture????

These are the letters above their little cribs... However as you can see Barrett is missing one of his "r" letters. It was on back order here, so Grammie found one and is supposed to be sending it to us. Please hurry Grammie...

Update!!! We are 32 weeks and 3 days today

We went to the OB on Thursday and discovered that Barrett is now breech. He and Carter are now side by side. They are both around 3 pounds and 11 oz, give or take. It is getting a bit more challenging to measure the boys because they are simply running out of room. So now with this new position change we will certainly need a C-Section. Heather is a little unsure about all of this but we know that our ultimate goal is healthy babies! So it looks like Carter and Barrett will make their debut on July 17th! If everything goes as planned. We will keep you posted on any new developments...Thanks so much for all your thoughts and prayers!

Grammie Is SOOOO Excited about the Nursery!!

Grammie is smiling now...we will see if she is still smiling after changing all those poo diapers in here!

The Nursery is almost ready...

We are growing

Can you tell us apart...These pictures are a couple of weeks old, but they are Mom and Dad's favorites!!! Barrett is pictured above and Carter is below.
